EN 12662 Liquid petroleum products - Determination of total contamination in middle distillates, diesel fuels and fatty acid methyl esters
13 Expression of results
Express the total contamination as a mass fraction, µ, rounded to the nearest 0.5 mg/kg, or report as incomplete filtration and indicate the volume filtered (see 11.1).

14 Precision
14.1 General
The precision given in 14.2 and 14.3 was determined by statistical examination of interlaboratory test results in accordance with EN ISO 4259.

14.2 Repeatability
The difference between two successive test results obtained by the same operator with the same apparatus under constant operating conditions on identical test material would, in the normal and correct operation of the test method, exceed the values calculated from the following formula only in one case in twenty:
r = 0.0644X + 1.6099
where
X is the average of the two results being compared, in milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg).

14.3 Reproducibility
The difference between two single and independent results obtained by different operators working in different laboratories on nominally identical test material would, in the normal and correct operation of the test method, exceed the values calculated from the following equation only in one case in twenty:
R = 0.1644X + 4.1110
where
X is the average of the two results being compared, in milligrams per kilogram (mg/kg).

15 Test report
The test report shall contain at least the following information:
a) type and identification of the product under test;
b) reference to this European standard;
c) sampling procedure used (see Clause 8);
d) result of the test (see Clause 13);
e) when applicable, the notification 'incomplete filtration' plus test volume filtered, in ml, after 30 min (see 11.1);
f) any deviation, by agreement or otherwise, from the procedure described;
g) date of the test.
