5 Labelling of samples
Oil and gas samples should be properly labelled before dispatch to the laboratory.
The following information is necessary (whenever it is known).
The following additional information is desirable:
ambient temperature, reading of winding temperature indicator, reading of MVA or load current or % load, operation of pumps, mode of communication of its tap-changer with the main tank, oil preservation system (conservator, nitrogen blanket, etc), and any changes in operational conditions or any maintenance carried out since last sampling.
