1 Summary
Measures elastomer compatibility of lubricating greases and fluids.
The elastomer test coupon is immersed in grease or fluid and aged for 70 hours at either 100°C or 150°C or at other conditions as required by the lubricant specification. The resulting changes in hardness and volume are determined.
Suitable for ASTM D4289, SH/T0429.

Standard chloroprene elastomer and nitrile elastomer test coupon: 50 x 25 x 2mm.
Stainless steel heating case, with dry-burning electric heater inside.
Digital display temperature controller, PT100 sensor.
With Shore hardness tester.
Thermometer holder on top of heating case.
Digital display timer, recording testing time, with time alarmer.
2 tests can be done at the same time.
