Key Advantages
- Speed and Reliability: Offers consistently high speeds (from 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps and beyond for home users, and much faster in data centers) with very low latency (lag). The connection is stable and not susceptible to wireless interference.

- Security: A physical connection is inherently more secure than Wi-Fi. To intercept data, an attacker would need physical access to the cable or switch.

- Reduced Interference: Unlike Wi-Fi, it's not affected by walls, distance, or other wireless signals from microwaves, Bluetooth devices, or neighbors' networks.

Key Disadvantages
- Lack of Mobility: You are tethered to a cable, limiting where you can place your device.

- Installation: Requires running cables through walls, under floors, or along baseboards, which can be messy and impractical in some situations.
