SDR Architecture and Applications
Typical Architecture
A typical SDR platform architecture consists of multiple modules, including power supply, digital processing, timing, as well as receive (Rx) and transmit (Tx) modules. These modules are interconnected via high-speed cables to enable rapid data transfer between components. Among them, the power board is responsible for providing stable electrical support to other sub-boards within the SDR system.
Application Areas
Owing to its flexibility, SDR is widely used across numerous fields. Key application areas include radar systems, test and measurement equipment, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), global navigation satellite systems (GNSS), low-latency communication links, and spectrum monitoring, among other critical tasks.
